Yikes!

What has happened to our blogging y'all? It's been like a month! What this blog really needs is an obscene number of newborn baby pictures ;) Until then I'll fill in and post some of my favorites from our Florida trip! Wait, what?! Florida?? Yeah Preston decided to gift himself a trip to Disneyworld after finishing the first half of his boards. It was very last minute, VERY. We bought the tickets about a week before we left - thank you spirit for always having insanely cheap tickets.
So we did have to go to a timeshare presentation in order to afford the disneyworld tickets and hotel. We got a great deal and we ALMOST bought a timeshare. I mean seriously we were THIS close. We went into it saying, "why do they even do these presentations, people just come to get the free stuff, no one really buys into all this timeshare stuff, right?!" And there we were agonizing over the decision for like 45 minutes. They made a lot of great points and we might do it someday but in the end we couldn't do it. It wasn't 10 minutes after we left that we were both like, "oh my gosh I can't believe we almost just did that! Yikes."
Anyhow, because of that we got a slow start on our first day and so we HAD to stay late to get the most of our day at Magic Kingdom. We stayed until midnight and somehow Ruby kept it together. We tried to get in all the classics - dumbo, winnie the pooh, small world, tiki room, etc... But we started with the tea cups which may have been a major mistake since Preston went crazy spinning us and I felt dizzy the rest of the day :) Ruby loved it.

petting her "neigh."

Day 2 - Epcot. Half the park is "future world" but the other half is a "world showcase." You get to travel through several different countries - super cool. They have food and buildings that represent those places and EVERYONE working there is actually from that country. In one day we travelled through Japan, China, Canada, UK, Morocco, Mexico, Norway, France, Germany, America.

UK

When in Japan...do as the asian's do :) Peace.

Mexico!

Day 3 - Water park. We were SUPER bugged with Florida weather because the first day it was for sure not suppose to rain, and it did. day two was suppose to be sunny and warm - around mid day we had to share sweatshirts because it was cloudy and freezing. Day four was suppose to be cold and highest chance of rain so we decided day 3 would be best for the waterpark. It ended up being the coldest day and day 4 was GORGEOUS! Needless to say there were NO lines at the waterpark and most of the lifeguards were in winter coats, but Ruby LOVED it. We warmed up with a very large, very delicious funnel cake!

Don't freak out mom she's wearing a life jacket! And she actually did go on this slide again and loved it. We were surprised at how much she liked the slides. We tried to take her to do other things but she kept saying, "slides? slides."
We couldn't stay all day - too cold. So we left early and drove to the temple. We took turns running in and Ruby LOVED hanging out on the grounds.
Day 4 - Animal Kingdom. This park was insane. They make it to feel like a real jungle so you honestly can't see beyond 20 feet because there are thick trees and bushes and flowers everywhere. We saw lots of cool animals - favorites were tamarins, komodo dragon, bats, and hippos. We enjoyed our safari and took turns going on the rollar coaster that was awesome and even had a part where you went backwards.
The dragon is on the rock. Hard to see.

You could easily lose a child in this park! Ruby climbed into some trees. Can you see her little green pants in the middle of this picture?

It was a VERY busy trip but super fun. Ruby seemed a little overwhelmed by it all but was a super champ and is now obsessed with minnie mouse (although when she actually met her she got super scared and tried to punch her in the nose :)
This is pluto trying to recover after getting an uppercut from the Rubes :)
****For a significantly longer version of the trip with infinitely more pictures check our blog in a few days. ****

Visit to Castle Rock

While in Castle Rock I got to see  Paxton eat his first solid food.  Rice Cereal.
We think he liked it.

He had so much fun bouncing in his jumper.
My favorite was when he fell asleep in the Bjorn and relaxed with me.
I got a great seat in the top level of the mega bus in Chicago for the midnight ride home.
So fun to be able to visit everyone.  Next stop... Dallas... and then SLC.  What a life!

Michigan in Texas! Boo Yah!

As you know, my husband is THE BOMB! But this birthday present totally confirmed it. Michigan Football Tickets!?! Are you kidding me? Does this guy love me or what? And we only had to drive to Dallas for the game. What?! This year the "cowboy classic" was between michigan and alabama. What a great time to be in Texas!
We had standing room only seats, which meant that we needed to be early in order to get a spot where we could actually see the field. We ended up getting to the stadium about an hour and a half before the game and found a spot behind 4 short-ish Bama fans. When looking between the heads of 2 of them I could see most of the field most of the time. I was a little worried when my legs started to feel tired before the game even started, but once the teams were on the field I was so elated that leg pain was the last thing on my mind!
Things started out awesome. We stopped Bama on their first drive and we looked like we were going to give them a good game. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. We didn't play great, but the stadium was so insane! We were very glad that it was inside and air conditioned because it was a HOT day. The michigan fans to our left decided to drown their sorrows in beer. WOW. there was a LOT of alcohol being consumed! This photo was taken after the first quarter! Yikes.
Preston and I couldn't help but notice the classiness of the Bama fans. I have NEVER seen so many fashionably dressed people at a football game! I mean, literally all the girls had dresses or skirts on with bows in their hair, perfect make-up, gorgeous hair, stylish jewelry. Wow. It was crazy! The guys were in dress shirts with bow ties or polos or red and white checkered button up shirts. I felt very underdressed, but at least comfortable during our 5 hours of standing!
We got massacred and it was a very discouraging start to the season, but it was still great to see them play live and in such an awesome stadium. Thanks for an amazing night hubby!

San Francisco

This was my trip to San Francisco.  It was pretty awesome!!  We went to Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge, Ghirardelli Square, and other places.
Ghirardelli Square!!! Delicious!  Hot Chocolate is good, but do not get the Banana Split....not that great.
We got a Lobster put in front of us so we had to take a picture!!! The clam chowder was amazing and in a bread bowl!!!
Pier 39....Classic!
Golden Gate Bridge
All and all this was a great trip.  We went to some other places that I forgot my camera for like the Redwood Regional Park.  That was the best part of my trip as I went trail running among redwoods.

Cousins!

We realized the night before we were leaving that we didn't have any pictures of the 2 newest little cousins together! I tried to snap a few but it isn't easy to get 2 babies to cooperate!
Ruby was just wanting to LOVE on Pax but I'm not sure he was loving it!
Takes a break from touching him to steal his toy :)
And back to touching him.
She just can't leave him alone!
Not sure what Gram will do in November when there's another baby who wants to fit on her lap!

Always a good time in castle rock. Such great hosts. good food. And pure awesomeness. SO much fun.

Pools, ponds, and showers!

Education week was crazy awesome - as always! Thanks to everyone who helped with Ruby - which was EVERYONE. She had a blast at the pool, especially with her Auntie COCO! (P.S. - probably about 20 times a day I have to explain to Ruby that Coco lives in Utah which is always followed by a very sad "oooohhh.")
ALMOST falling in - not a one time occurrence!
Love to see their interaction.
Janelle cracking everyone up - no surprise there.

We had fun coming up with name suggestions for Baby Mau and we're all just dying to meet this little guy! Such a fun week.

Our little Taddy graduates...

...sort of :) Tad walked this month even though he has one semester left. Luckily a few of us were able to be there and it was good times! Officially I am the WORST at doing graduation videos. I'm always so concerned about getting a video AND pictures that I end up with a short video and blurry photos. What can you do.

Love the face.
Where's Taddo? If you look really close you can see his face looking up, sort of in the middle of the pic, but on the outside of the group. All you can see is his face, or maybe YOU can't, but I can!
Hat toss over, time to fix the bieber hair :)
The guys.
Note the wrinkles. Wow.
Olive garden for celebration lunch!
Really good at feeding her nose, not so good at hitting the mouth. Grammie tries to help.
Ruby was really going after those breadsticks!

Congrats Tad! Here's hoping you ACTUALLY graduate in a few months :)
