Holiday review

As all of you know, I am famous for asking everyone to name their favorite part of an activity. I am now calling on everyone to recall one or two of their favorite parts of this holiday season to share with each other. It was way too short for me. It seemed like it was gone in an instant and I can't even remember what we did. So, as a reminder, can everyone comment on their favorite memory of this holiday season. Thanks, Mom

It's Official; Taki is now blogging

So mother would like us to get to know each other by providing a profile, huh? Well, here it goes. I’m pretty much the coolest person I know. Besides the fact that I’m a washed up high school athlete still trying to live out his glory days in college intramurals; I like to think of myself as a big deal. Sometimes I wonder why I continue to work-out, since it’s never been based on personal motivation.
My friends would say that I’m a “Hopeless Romantic.” The reason for this is my belief that life, especially associated with love, happens just as it does in the movies; where the good guy gets his girl, not by any flashy means, but with a simple genuine character. I blame it on the fact that I grew up between two sisters and have seen my fair share of chick flicks. But, at this point in my life I know longer have that excuse and must simply settle with the fact that I love any movie where the good guy gets the girl in the end. Thus far in life I have been out done by the “flashy” fellas, but am hoping that someday a girl will stick around long enough to recognize and appreciate all I have to offer.
All of this and school has taken up the bulk of my life right now. I hope to again enjoy some of the hobbies I once did such as golfing, fishing, wakeboarding, camping, and possibly reading. Last year I had this consuming desire to become more intelligent, or at least be perceived by others as more intelligent, by reading books. It was a good intention that soon faded as other items took higher priority, but I think will come and go as time permits. What I look forward to most in life, besides finding the love of my life, is one day having nothing but good quality food occupy my refrigerator. There are few luxuries in life that I desire, but excellent food is definitely one craving I will have to satisfy.
