So Connie always finds it hilarious that people are always talking about the "much needed rain." For example, she'll say, "I can't believe it's raining again." And the response repeatedly will be, "Yeah, but we really need it." We'll let you be the judge as to whether or not this was a "much needed rain."
The ferocious winds, rain, and hail knocked our power out for over 24 hrs. That night we went over to our friends to bum off their electricity. As we drove over, there were trees down everywhere; in the street, on top of cars, and smacked against houses and apartments. Of course Connie was intrigued by it all.

It looks and sounds like you got a little more than you NEEDED. I would define a "much needed rain" as a more gentle, steady shower that doesn't knock out power and crush cars.
I think that unless it's flooding people always think they need more rain. greedy.
All I know is that we had rain yesterday and when it cleared up it was extra hot and muggy! No thank you.
Looks like a crazy storm, gotta love 'em (unless you have to leave the house...)
We had some crazy storms while i was up at girls camp. Thunder shaking the cabins and lightening across the sky!!! And in the distance, girls screaming. It was all good except for the fact that it was only like 35 degrees outside and I had only one little sweatshirt. bummer.
