While Dad was scraping at the pool I observed the neighbor out at the crack of dawn on his hands and knees trying to out do dad. He had his edger and his blower and his broom and scissors..... I wanted to let dad know but I didn't want to be obvious so I put my phone on camera and opened my car window and drove past as if I was talking on the phone and pushed the button. Very sneaky, I was. I texted the picture to Tim at the pool and I think I could hear dad yelling all the way from Forest Hills Nooooooooooooooo!

This is freaking hilarious in so many ways. First, I'm picturing mom being super "sneaky" while laughing her head off. And Dad on the other end of it going crazy. I just wonder if the neighbor's wife has a blog going with the same thing.

Dad, just so you know, I am willing to fly back and drop some crab grass seeds in his lawn or let loose a mole or something. Just know I got your back.
Funny thing that dad was talking to the other neighbor across the street and he said 'hey, your lawn looks great'. Dad answered 'yeah, but still not as good as his (pointing). The guy said "yeah, but we're getting close and they both laughed. Dad was so excited to have a new battle buddy and the idea of sending a mole over did come up in the conversation- so I had to laugh at Lori's comment. Devious.... Lori.. but I could totally see you sneaking over there in the night and tossing your seeds and planting your mole saying "go little fella- have a blast!"
