If my camera skills have left you guessing that is a delicious japanese bean cake! Interestingly it's one of the only things that Preston has NOT developed a taste for...crazy! I've been to several asian food stores in california and detroit asking for "monshu" and the people always look at me like I'm a crazy person so before I set out on my quest in kalamazoo I did some googling and found that they are called either "red bean cakes" or "daifuku." I had great success using these terms and my craving was satisfied!

Daifuku!
I haven't had any strange cravings, or really any cravings at all for anything, EXCEPT...![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_udTuYOO-dxDHJ18P-u4cb1BvqCYAaE6jsSemVIJPD6iB7ibAgLooHlbVadqrydQn23aeGMUQE6LqCY_-A5mEJqt36h5rHI4kCeWXPwyqxvnumu8XiiKiK9luf9fhtQVKJtSxfUQdewMs-DrAJ3qgnvxvqOoRbYGJJm5bILFT6Qn0m5XNI=s0-d)

I'm salivating; Connie gagging.
Funny, there was a pure rice version of that in the shape of a rainbow that I ate in the first week after finding out I was pregnant. I never could eat them again to this day.
I ate one last week after a long day at work. Who needs Snickers..Daifuku really satisfies!!
Has connie tried it, or is she gagging based on a description, because they sure don't sound appetizing when you say, "a rice cake filled with red beans" and yet....SO DELICIOUS!
I've tried it. And really, it's not that bad...
