Product Testing Yet Again
Alright, for those of you who forgot, Connie and I (more like just me) enjoy testing name brand versus generic. Anyways, the results are in on --- "Spaghetti." Null hypothesis: There is a big difference between name brand and generic spaghetti. After thorough tasting it was decided that there was not a statistically significant difference and therefore we must reject the null hypothesis. But, with Easter approaching we thought it would be a nice time to insert our findings on EGGS. We've tested five different types of eggs and found the overall satisfaction listed here from best to worst: 1. Brown Land-o-Lakes Eggs, 2. Cage-free Land-o-lakes, 3. Generic Brown Eggs, 4. Egglands Best, 5. Generic white eggs. These results were significant. Enough to where we now keep our fridge fully stocked with one carton of brown eggs for eating, and one carton of generic whites for baking. I haven't had a better home cooked over-medium egg than the Brown L.O.L. brand. Side note, Connie loves her heat/cold mask Annette and Preston sent. She also thinks it's cool that she can look into the small blue beads and claims to see microscopic organisms. I'm not convinced, but I guess it's possible. Take home message: Don't waste your money on branded pasta, splurge a bit on brown eggs, and for those rough days pamper yourself with a therapeutic mask.

For any queso lovers out there I learned the hard way that walmart brand queso con salsa is SUPER MEGA not good and should NEVER be purchased in place of tostitos brand. Never. We blame that nasty queso for Jimmer's poor performance against Florida.
This post makes me glad that I've always bought generic pasta...glad to know I haven't been missing out on anything.
Do you feel like the LOL brown eggs are SIGNIFICANTLY better when they are not eaten side-by-side other eggs and served scrambled? Maybe I need to start my own experiment....
Can't beat the LOL Brown Eggs. You will taste a big difference, and the yolks hold up a lot better if your going for an overeasy or overmeadium. We had them scrambled the other day; awesome!
Might as well try it just once. It changed my life.
Yeah, Annette has a big egg diet during this pregnancy. I think you hit a note with her! Also, I think that the nutrition is far better in the LOL brown egg-assuming it is because the chicken was fed good feed. I loved this test. I am a tester at heart also. It looks like it runs in the family.
Wait a minute! I want a cold facial mask.
Do I have to go to a special organic-y store to find the land o lakes brand? Meijer just had their own and egglands best...
we just got them at walmart, so i guess you can just experiment with the brown eggs available in your area.
I love your use of statistics. Can I use this in my class? I learned a hard lesson with Walmart brand hot chocolate. The Polys at FHE choked it down, but No Bueno!!
