30th or 32nd? Who can really tell?

Let me just start by saying that Casey rocked this birthday and it's mainly because he already understands what makes me happy. So, we started off with breakfast. I made some Pope bread on Monday and so he came over and made some amazing french toast. The kind with a little cinnamon, little syrup and a sprinkling of powdered sugar on top. YUMMY!
Later, I was diligently working, when my work phone rang (which it hasn't done in over a month) and I was informed that I had a delivery a the main desk. I proudly marched back to my desk with flowers and a cute card which said something about me being the love of his life. Super mushy. Luv it!
After work I went home to find a room full of balloons. I had a cute card and was instructed to pop all the balloons. I may have cried a bit, played in the balloons and then started popping them. After two balloons, Casey came over and thoroughly enjoyed watching me jump each time we popped a balloon.
Each balloon had an activity for us to do. It was super fun to pop them all as many of the papers went flying off and I would dive under the balloons in search of the little paper of fun. Plus notice the card is totally perfect. I'm telling ya, this kid got it right!
After the balloon fun, Casey made me dinner: Chicken Carbonara. So delicious!!! We had it with salad and bread. My roommate Kasha came home just as we started eating and so we all ate together. It was fun. Here is my silly chef and his creation.
After dinner, we just sat and talked and then I got a back massage. It was a great birthday filled with a lot of great surprises. I also got a box filled with amazingly fun stuff from mom with some much needed hand soap. Casey has an old cottage cheese container with three little slivers of soap in it in his bathroom, so one soap is going to his house...STAT!!! The birthday fun continues as I'm still waiting for a box from Annette. Can't wait!! In the end, I'm happy to be 30 again or even 32.

Mom-luv the bowls and scrubber brush. Annette, I like how you are talking kids...we are still a long way from that. But Casey's a keeper.
