You Know That You're Cheap When:

1. A coupon is used at 90% of your restaurant outings.
2. The other 10% is McDonalds.
3. If needed, you make two separate transactions in order to use two coupons.
4. You have two separate grocery cards in order to cash in on twice the free goods.
5. You take both cars to double fill at the gas station to maximize gas rewards.
6. You pound 100+ shrimp at Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp in order to get your monies worth (and yes, a coupon was used!)
7. Your eyes never stray from the Value Menu at a fast food joint.
8. Combo meals??? – never heard of them.
9. Any large purchases are postponed until Black Friday.
10. Your favorite moments come from finding “treasures” on the side of the road.
11. You wait six months on the wait list to get a free blockbuster from the library (just saw The Hobbit).
12. If it’s “Yellow” you let it “Mello.”
13. Every other date night is at Walmart.
14. Target is not in your budget.
15. You go through the apartment dumpster in order to snag awesome coupons others threw away.
16. You keep used Slurpee cups in your car in order to save 50 cents on a refill.

Tonight after getting a Slurpee refill we realized that we're probably the only ones to ever do that.
Then we started recalling all of the cheap things we do and could not stop laughing.

Share your favorite cheap experiences with us, we'd love to hear them (or even use them).

Man that is hilarious. Even people from the projects don't do that. Anyway when McDonald's was having the smoothies for free I totally grabbed some from the garbage. My other friends grabbed them while they were on a date to go get them as a treat for their date! So good!

Tadder??? I didn't know you were a cheapster. But the queens of cheap are the girls who both have done dumpster diving. Lori probably more than Annette, and once couldn't get out. I always thought there couldn't be anyone more cheap than Taki. He wrote so tiny on his notecards to save space that I called it 'economy printing'. But, then he met Connie, who is truly his match in cheapness. You two totally win the frugal award. They didn't put this down but I think they re-use plastic bags too. (Not that I don't do that.) Well, I got the recliner off the street with Toshi, the music cabinet with Annette and the Computer desk with dad. Sad commentary on dad though... saving money is probably his only hobby. It may keep him alive in his old age. "There's a sale at Meijer, let me grab my walker". But, no matter how cheap you guys are...I used cloth diapers for all 6 of you. Bam.

-Ok, just got back from walking to an apartment complex to dumpster dive for Gerber coupons. Saved about $.60 in gas by walking the 4.5 miles and got 7-$1 off coupons.
-Another way you know that you are cheap is that you have never gotten your nails done and finally have a girl do it in her home (glitter toes) and you can't get it off so you just have to let your nails grow all the way out!!!
-Your house in furnished by stuff bought at yard sales/KSL all for under $500.
No, but we do all the same things as you and Connie. I was laughing so hard!!!
-You are scrounging for online access to internet TV cuz you don't wanna buy cable.
Some other good saving measures that we like:
1-put your onion in a cheap fold top bag and then stick it in a ziplock bag. Then it doesn't stink and you never need a new ziplock
2-I always cut my dryer sheets in half or reuse a handful in one load.
3-We live for Papa Johns free pizza deals (guaranteed pizza after the superbowl cointoss)
4-Signed up for like 5 different birthday programs-Tucanos, Chilis, Benihana, coldstone, and del taco.

I know taht we have more. I'll post them as they come to me. Love this!!!

5-after I had the baby, we got tons of bills with envelopes folded inside. Saved them all and used them
6-Never buy full price garments. I go about once a month to scan the irregular garments section. The more irregular, the cheaper they are. It's not like the don't fit, it that they have an extra seam or something like that.
7-price match at Walmart. I know you would hate to be behind me in line, but it saves a ton and means only one shopping trip
