Humbled by an Air Filter
Well, I have been humbled! I went to get my oil changed and the guy said your air filter needs changing, we can do it for $16. I was like, yeah right. So I went to Autozone and bought the filter for $5, but then realized that this was no normal drop in design. I had to unscrew two bolts, take off 2 hoses and undo the clamps to the box which was sideways and under the battery. No problem, but when I went to put it back together, I couldn't pull the clamps back over the box lid. So, I had to break down and call a boy to come help. It was painful to watch, but it was even difficult for him and by the end, I was just praying that he would be able to do it so he didn't feel stupid. Well, he finally got it and so my car is fixed. It was a tough lesson and I'm pretty sure that I will be sore tomorrow from trying to pull those clamps for so long.

Well, I'll bet that it wasn't very long into the process of trying to do the repair yourself that the $16 repair really began to look very good. Well, you did learn a thing or two that will likely pay off in the future. Mom
I'm impressed. I would never start pulling hoses or bolts out of our car. And I'd definetely never do any un-clamping action. Nothin like getting your hands dirty and bein sore the next day! DO IT GIRL! (PS...I'm interested to know who the boy was???)
