So, let me be the first to comment on my own post! I liked Jose Alonso's talk and Boyd K packer's but Pres Uchtdorf always speaks to me. I loved Elder Bednar's challenge to the youth (actually, you guys) and the promises. Tad Callister had some great points (no pun intended) but Pres Monson's Sunday talk rocked the conference in my opinion. But, J. Devn Cornish's talk about praying for a quarter and loving the chicken really was touching too. All in all, what a great conference! It seems to get better every time.
Tosh says: I'm working on calming down and reading the scriptures before I do anything. And i'm going to try memorizing scriptures like Richard G Scott talked about. I really liked his talk. I loved the ones that you talked about. I enjoyed I liked carl b cooks about always looking up and Callisters on the book of mormon. There were a lot of great talks. I really like Richard G scotts and Uchtdorfs on God's love for us. It's so important to understand that. I knew that you would love Elder Bednars talk. I told that to people around me quote, "my mom is probably dancing right now." Ian S Alden talk was really good too and figured you liked that one. :) That was about prioritizing time and his quote was "Let us be as quick to kneel as we are to txt." But conference was great this week and i'm listening to Uchtdorfs talk right now from the YW conference. And it's awesome. Priesthood was awesome too. Jeffrey R Holland really hit hard. Man talking about missionary work. You should listen to that one. That's from priesthood. That would be a good one for the youth to watch again. He just rails everyone about doing missionary work. It was great. But I love you mom. Thanks for everything. You are not forgotten and you are never alone. Love Elder Sugiyama
Barbara Thompson (love her): mentioned that ask=receive is a little more complicated than that. It's more like ask+obey+faith=receive in His time & way.
I like that she said if our testimonies are strong it won't be hard to keep them during the tough times, instead our testimonies will keep us, and the struggle will actually make us stronger.
Ian S Ardern said being busy is not the same as being productive. BUSTED. he was speaking right to me.
Matthew O Richardson: teaching requires so much more than talking. It's about listening to our students and promptings from the Holy Ghost.
Randall K Bennett: kids want to eat only ice cream, play all day, and never sleep. There are natural consequences to those actions. Likewise, if I fill my day with only the "fun" things there are consequences to that as well and they are eternal.
Get this. So a joke that originated with the fellas (I think Kevin Meier used to always say it) is that when a sister gets up to speak at conference, he'd always get up and say "break time." Well, I always say it to get at Connie, but this time ate my words as I found Elaine Dalton's talk extra special. Not that I'm saying we're gonna have a girl, but her talk just hit home about becoming a new father. It just really got me excited about being a father and starting a family.
That is pretty funny actually. I generally am less enthusiastic about the lady speakers, but there were some really good ones this conference for sure. I always joke when Preston comes home from the priesthood session, asking him if it was all, "missionary work, no pornography, and love your wife!" This year he said that they didn't say anything about loving your wife so I guess Sister Dalton took it upon herself to cover that issue :)
I agree with Connie. Pres. Uchtdorf always seems to know that to say to the women to make us feel better. I loved that talk too.... and will quit looking for my golden ticket.

I only caught one session, but I liked Elder Bennett's talk on choice and the Asian guy.
My fav was relief society night by Pres Uchtdorf. I loved everything about it. I feel like we all sometimes feel forgotten but that is never the case.
